Latest Project: Speech Production Modeling
How does the brain control speech articulators, such as the
lips, tongue, and jaw, to produce vowel and consonant sounds?
My dissertation research is designed to answer this question
in a computational neural model, which utilizes new information
about how sounds are represented in auditory cortex. This
research is being conducted at Boston University in the
department of Cognitive and Neural Systems under
Professor Frank Guenther.
