About me:

I grew up in Ottawa, Illinois, received my B.S. Engineering Physics from University of Illinois in 1979, my M.S. Applied Mathematics from Santa Clara University in 1983, and my Ph.D. in Cognitive and Neural Systems from Boston University in 1998. Since then I have lived in Austin, Texas. I'm currently an adjunct professor of mathematics at Austin Community College. In my free time, I study physics and math, and I also write fiction.
